Oh where is the time going? I cannot believe that Christmas and New Year have come and gone. I cannot believe that my last baby boy is already four months old.
I would love to say that four months is full of exciting new things for Hunter (and it is), but there have been some downsides to this new month of development. What happened to my easy, sweet, and happy baby you ask?!?!?! I wish I had the answers because then I could find the solutions.
Hunter is so much more alert with every passing month. He is 26 inches long and 15lbs. He is able to sit up with very little support (and at times sit unsupported). He has rolled over once from his back to tummy but did it when I was not around. He accomplished that task and doesnt seem interested in doing it again. He's got great control over his hands. He loves to hold his feet. He has the cutest laugh and the best smile. I love him so much. Now that he is getting a little more interactive, Trevor is starting to respond to him like the good big brother I always knew he would be.
The downsides! 4th month sleep regression. This stage has been hell and I am so tired. He sleeps 1-2 hours increments at night. He is fussy a lot of the day. He still screams bloody murder anytime he is in the car (despite his new $300 car seat). All he wants to be held and to be walked around. I am finding it very difficult to get anything done. Normally, I would just deal with the stage and move on, but I start school again in a week and I am nervous about the lack of sleep and my ability to perform academically.
Anyway, doctor says that Hunter is at the developmental level of a 6 month old and probably needs to already be eating fruits and veggies and oatmeal. I was told to ease into the solids quickly!! She also told me that I am at risk for losing my milk supply (apparently happens to a few moms at the 4 month mark). I need to start supplementing my supply with fenugreek in hopes that I begin to produce much more than I have. My little guy dropped a curve on the weight scale so I need to fatten him up a bit!!!
So...here are some pictures of the super cute non sleep bundle of joy!
